Booking Requirements:

3-Day Weekend Tours:  This "bare bones" tour. It is NOT all-inclusive.  You will be responsible for your own motorcycle, food, gas, & lodging costs and any incidentals along the way.  This is intentional in that it opens up the tour to all riders on any type of motorcycle. We will be riding approximately 850 miles in three days.

Payments for the tour can be made in with the site’s secured merchant account.  If necessary checks can be mailed to ZX14.net LLC along with your registration forms. If completing the registration on-line, please mail or fax the original forms to ZX14.net LLC Motorcycle Tours. Weekend Tours require payment in full with registration. Once we receive your tour reservation deposit/payment, we will send you a confirmation and a deposit receipt per your instructions.

If you book less than 30 days before your tour date, then the entire cost is due immediately.  Last minute reservations must be paid in full via the secured merchant account.

Pre-Ride Packet:

No later than 30 days prior to your tour date, you will receive a tour packet that covers your tour in greater detail. It will show the main tour route, detail the lodging, detailed alternate side trips, area history, and useful facts.  You will also be able to go to ZX14.NET website to look at more pictures of your chosen tour route.

Cancellation Policy:

3-Day Weekend Tours: Payment for the Weekend Tours is due at time of registration. There are no refunds 0-14 days before departure. If you do need to cancel, we would be happy to apply your payment, minus the cancellation fee, to a future tour. There will be no refunds for unused services or accommodations once the tour has started.

We rarely cancel or postpone a trip, but we reserve the right to do so when necessary: due to dangerous weather conditions or other reasons beyond our control. In the event of such an occurrence, we will refund your fees or apply them to another trip, but we are not responsible for any travel expenses incurred or lost.

Insurance:

If you believe your trip may be at risk for any reason, we recommend that you purchase trip cancellation insurance.  Travel and trip cancellation insurance is not included in the tour packages, it is recommended and can be purchased through a travel agent.  Participants are responsible for their own medical insurance and motorcycle insurance coverage.

Equipment:

All riders are required to provide all equipment and necessities they will need for the trip.  You riding gear, communication needs and other equipment i/e tool, tire patch kit and first aid kit are your responsibility.  Your guide will have a first aid kit in the event one is needed.

Lodging:

Weekend Tours: You will be responsible for your lodging costs. This is intentional in keeping the tour cost at a bare minimum and allowing those that might not otherwise be able to participate in a guided tour to be a part of a ZX14.NET LLC Motorcycle Tour.

ZX14.NET LLC Motorcycle Tours will reserve a block of rooms for our tour participants as we gauge the interest level in these tours.  We will not be staying in high cost lodging as a normal ZX14.NET LLC Motorcycle Tour would but more of a Holiday Inn or Motel 6 type lodging.  Someplace that is clean but thrifty, so everyone can spend their money on gas and tires!

If you would like to camp, you are free to do so and there will be nearby campgrounds to our stopping point for the two nights of the tour. If you would like to stay in something a little higher end, or you have a friend or relative near our lodging stop for the night, you are more than welcome to make alternate plans.  However, it's important you let us know what those plans are so that we might block off enough rooms for our tour participants. In the morning, the tour group will meet again at 9 AM and continue the tour route.

Gear:

When riding we highly recommend that you dress in layers, just as you would when riding your own motorcycle.  In addition, ZX14.NET LLC Motorcycle Tours strongly recommends you wear motorcycle specific protective gear while riding a motorcycle.  Temperatures during the summers are warm, although the variety of terrain covered in your tour will preclude a wide range of temperature variances.  You will be required to wear a DOT or Snell rated helmet, eye protection, gloves and other safety gear as required or worn by the rider.

Tour Safety:

Helmets are required.  Non-DOT "Beanie Helmets" or "Novelty Helmets" are not allowed under any.  Tour participants are responsible for any traffic violations they might incur during the tour. Alcohol or drug use during the course of the tour is not permitted under any circumstance or while riding the motorcycle. Over-consumption of alcohol during our evening stopovers is discouraged also, though we want everyone to have a good time!

Bring your own bike:

We welcome all makes of motorcycles and tour participants from all lifestyles. Please have a new, or nearly new, set of tires and have your motorcycle in excellent running (mechanical condition) your lack of maintenance can be hazardous to you and the other tour members.  More importantly poor pre-maintenance can cause us untimely delays in progressing through the tour route.  Your bike will be visually inspected before the tour departure.  To assure you have the above-required equipment.  Please ensure your motorcycle is ready to make a weeklong tour or more.  Also, consider obtaining some type of roadside service for your motorcycle before arriving for your tour.  You also might find it convenient to trailer your motorcycle to our starting point.
