Hyperbike Performance Centers launched its Land Speed based racing program in 2007 with a quest to have the fastest land speed based nitrous ZX-14 in the world. At the conclusion of our rookie season we did just that breaching the 215 mph mark with (Chad Millholland) and Greg Williams became the first Afro-American in the history of Land Speed Racing to breach 200 MPH (205.453).

For 2008 we have made many changes to our 2006 ZX-14 work horse. We plan to attend several land speed and drag race events in 2008.

Leslie P. Crierie Bio

Leslie P. Crierie, a current executive for a Washington, DC based elevator company, has a unique and diversified history in all aspects of motor-sports.  A partnership for over two decades, within the exotic car restoration and custom machining business provided massive exposure to numerous automotive venues.  Including vintage, historic, SCCA, and drag racing to name a few.

Although business evolved around four wheels, Les’s true love of motorcycling, was always lurking in the background.  This can be attributed to his early teen years of dirt bike riding, bounding the streets on Kawasaki KZ’s, and drag racing in the early 70’s.  His love of speed on two wheels could not be stifled.

Thirty six years of super bike riding, and his desire to experience the upper limits of speed, prompted his participation with the East Coast Timing Association (ECTA).  This venue, allows Les to truly experience the limits of man and machine.  His latest project, a turbocharged Kawasaki ZX-14, provides Les the avenue for regularly reaching over 200 MPH speeds. 

Although, still striving for the record range for his classification, he's continually sharpening his technique.  He'll do what it takes to get the horsepower to the ground and get the job done.
