I would like to start this press-release off by clarifying my position and motivation behind our Land Speed Racing Team. I do not have a racing background by any means.  I am not a former drag racing superstar. Great News from Kawasaki

After an exhaustive and complete inspection of Kawasaki's new flagship Ninja, the ZX-14s will begin to ship to dealers late next week. Thank you for your patience. As all of the recent press articles have revealed...this machine is totally worth the wait. The original ship date was April, so we are basically right on track.

There you have it officially from Kawasaki Motor Corporation.

A troublesome analogy

Editor of ZX14.NET explains troublesome analogy:

There has been a lot of discussion about my use of the analogy "moped with a jet engine" so I thought I would explain my thinking. Not sure if you have ever ridden a moped. I have, several. Cracking the throttle on a moped always provides a very smooth progression in acceleration and power delivery. Well the ZX-14 does the same thing except that crack of the throttle is backed by one serious punch "jet engine" a smooth rush of 200 horsepower when assisted with ram air. For some reason this is a huge debate and I thought I would explain myself. I do not see a negative in everything that I read. Some people do. So if you are looking for something wrong with the ZX-14 you might harp on my analogy. Wait till you ride it, you will see what I mean, until then keep reading it will all come back to you very soon followed by a smile.

ZX-14 Evaluation Ride - 2006
At the tail end of October of 2005, we launched ZX14.net, LLC. A unique forum based web site devoted to one motorcycle, the all new ZX-14. Our goal from the start was to leave the competition far behind. At that time we knew very little about the new ZX-14. The little we did know was enough. Kawasaki Heavy Industries dubbed the ZX-14 a "Busa Killer" along with the pinning of the badge of being "the fastest production motorcycle Kawasaki has ever made".
